It’s been a long time coming *insert Yo Gotti*. Honestly though, it has been an extremely long time coming. As you know by now, I only write when He has spoken. Without further ado, honneyyyy grab your tea and honey because it’s about to get real.
I’ve missed you all and I know don’t fuss at me 2021 was a year full of transitioning that It clogged my mind. I count it a true honor to even gracefully chat with you today and even more of an honor that God gave me something He wanted to say. Because Lord knows, I’ve been slacking in these streets.
A few days ago he showed me some old Tupperware. Before you say, “Tia that’s spelled wrong” it’s not lol. We have been saying it wrong. It’s not “Tubberware it’s Tupperware”, I still say “Tubberware” cause that’s our business as TT Tab would say. Anyway, You know the old containers that have the hot sauce or pasta stain embedded inside. The container where it lowkey has scratch marks on the inside from almost melting. The container that you today still have in your cabinet, because who is gonna check you boo? That container will keep you humble honey. Don’t let you have guest and that’s the last container you have available, you will break your neck to find or clean a better looking container.
Think about it, you have a few of those right? Or are you too good to use the “old faithful”? I know some will not keep such a damaged container. The moment it looks damaged with embedded red or orange stains, the trash can is the new home of “old faithful”. Are you that person? Are you embarrassed of “old faithful” to the point you trash it or replace with brand new containers?
Per usual I never know where God is going with things until the discussion is over. Midway I’m like, Um ok where we going with Tupperware? But then it hit me, can you still use the container? The answer is Yes! Yes the container has embedded discoloration but the color does not make the Tupperware less than Tupperware. This container was created to hold goods and no matter the history or past of that container it can still be used.
How often do we look do we treat our gifts, people or testimonies like that “old faithful container”? We look at our lives and think how can I, the old Tupperware, be used. How can anyone take me serious with the scares of my past or in the case the embedded past hot sauce stains. We fail to realize those scares of our past can be used to fulfill the very thing God has planned for your future. The very thing that you’re embarrassed to mention or speak up on, can help someone else that you may encounter. I love how your tragic story can do a 180 in your life to become a beautiful testimony.
Who said the Tupperware could no longer be used? Yes the cosmetics of that container is slightly tarnished but it’s still used to store leftovers. That “old faithful” is still used to store flour, rice, fruit, veggies and other items you can think of. That container like I mentioned before is HUMBLING honey, no amount of money in the world can take away the humbleness of that container. Just like your past can keep you HUMBLE. That container can still be used for purpose. Just like you! Your past can be turned into something for the kingdom. You know I can leave without dropping a scripture,
“And we know that all things work together for good, TO THEM that love God, TO THEM who are the called according to His purpose”. Romans 8:28
Don’t get discouraged on your past or even your present, you my dear friend are here for a purpose. Everything that you may partake in your life will soon be used as an encouraging factor for someone else’s life. Now go back to your cabinet and pick up that “old faithful Tupperware” smile knowing that container is still performing it’s mandatory purpose regardless of its past.
Be thankful and get excited. Yes tarnished now but Yes you can and will still be used for your overall purpose assigned to you.
With love gracefully,
Tia
