Purpose in the Darkness

GRAB THE TEA AND HONEYY CAUSE BABY, ITS ABOUT TO GO DOWN. I think I will go with the Organic Ginger Root tea, a hint of spice, but add that HONEYYYYY you will be set. Let me tell y’all, God will have you doing stuff or going through stuff all to give revelation or teach someone else.

Last year September 25th to be exact, I was chilling minding my own good good business. Then I heard “Mustard seed”. So, I decided to find mustard seed in the bible and do some research on mustard seed. Let me tell you what I found…

  • Research says that to be careful with planting mustard seeds amongst other things planted because the mustard can overpower your plot and take over. You will end up with a plot full of mustard that what you intended on if not carefully maintained  or nurtured correctly.

While doing some research and then urged to plant. So now I’m researching on when to start planting mustard and not to begin the process until the last frost of the year. I know myself, if I do not set a reminder, this will not get done. I set a reminder for March to begin the process and while still researching, finding information on mustard in the bible, I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s all about faith.

Now look here, we are in March and I get a notification its time to plant. My mom and I decided to shop around and hit up Lowes to pick up seeds, organic dirt, etc. Let me tell you I was nervous but excited because I know this will be something God will draw out a lesson.

  • When planting,  you have to specifically follow the instructions to the full outcome of the fruit or vegetable you are growing.
    • Which means if you must start the process indoor for 6-8 weeks before planting in an outdoor pot
    • How much soil will be needed?
    • How deep should you plant the seed within the soil?
    • What  month should you plant the seed?

A lot goes into planting than just throwing the seed in the ground. God began to reveal each stage in a lesson. Before you can plant on the outside you must prepare indoors. We want so much from God, whether its spiritual increase, new job, etc., but we never prepared or should I say follow the instructions that are given to us first to even be ready for an increase. We are so busy doing other stuff, that we ask and not prepare or we ask and do no work or wait for it, we ask and expect it in the next 24 hours. * take a sip, I know* It’s a process. We have to work on our inner man before we can expect the outer man to fall in line. Without discipline inside how can we expect for our actions to represent the process that took place within?

How much soil do we need? You put too much soil, it could be too deep? You put too much soil the process will take longer or wait the seed won’t receive the water it needs if too much soil. If we just follow the directions given to us, we will know how much work that’s needed to plant. Another thing he slowed down for me in slow-mo was me and my husband placing the seed in either a 1/4 inch or 1/2 inch depth hole, He showed how small that seed was being planted and how much dirt was covering those seeds. Take a look at the period at the end of the sentence and you will understand how small the seeds were, but all of that dark soil. That can be scary in such a big world. It is dark, the seed believes for a hot second once planted what could be the outcome, but, how long will that hope last? Day 2, it’s still dark, Day 3 it’s still dark. A seed could lose hope of their expected blessing if no one speaks life or if I don’t encourage myself. If I don’t do the things needed, I will stay in that dark place. The world could consume me and I am defeated before the fruit can be birthed.

God revealed so much in just 4 days of planting. When we hear a word or receive a word through reading, we should grab a hold of that word and plant it in our hearts that it will be watered with FAITH. Planting is faith. We do not know how long it will take to start to sprout, we see the darkness around us, but fail to keep hold to the process of that mustard being produced. Speak life into every situation and when the enemy brings forth negativity or anything contrary to the word of God cast down and speak life. It may be dark, but continue to water your seed that you are holding on to. It could take days, weeks or months, but your job is to follow the instructions and water daily.

Never let life defeat you, never let the naysayers sway you. You are strong, even in the small state. When you are in that small state, you learn to depend on God, you learn to hold fast to the hope that’s to come, you learn more about the nature of why God has planted you. You have a purpose even in the dark and soon you will sprout and be transferred outdoors. Why outdoors? There’s levels to God and your relationship. Now that you’ve gained your trust in him indoors, you can show the world outdoors. The outside world has things that you have to be trained on. You have bugs/insects, rainy days, scalding heat. Every fiery darts from the devil will come your way, but what you’ve learned on the inside sustains to you to overcome the test of being outdoors. As you sprout more and develop into what you are called to be or purposed to be, the outside world will see such a beautiful product of holding fast to your faith for your overall blessing.

When they see you, they will see that the fruit you barely came with an outdoor season of tests. Be the seed, hold on. You know what you are suppose to be, because the picture on the packet gave me a SNEAK PEAK of what I should be. The mustard, broccoli head and collard greens seed packet showed a picture of how it should look, that seed has to hold on to picture it was given while in the darkness….

Your roots are growing, hold on and be ye steadfast..

What are you planting? Or should I say what did God plant in you?

P.S. The picture on this Blog is a 4 day picture update of my plants!!!! They SPROUTED IN DARKNESS
