Do you really want to walk their shoes?

Honeyyyyyy its been a long time, please grab your tea and honey!!!Raise your hand if you’ve thought to yourself, these shoes are definitely fit for me because don’t nobody wants these problems lol

One thing I’ve learned is to stay in my lane and drive my course. When you are  younger you don’t think to stay in your own lane, you want to engulf your friends lane as well. Back in the day, you use to plan to dress like your friend, go to the same school, chillllleee or better yet do things you would never do because you’re trying to maneuver in your friends lane for a hot second.

We’ve all been there in our life, especially before knowing who you are and to whom you belong to. Whether its money or popularity, you’ve wanted to that person’s life. You want Beyoncé money, TD Jakes anointing or just wanted to be the wife of Idris Elba. But, do we really know what it took to get there? Would we be able to make those sacrifices or deal with the real Idris Elba behind closed doors? If we had the opportunity to hear the true stories of Beyoncé, TD Jakes or Mrs. Elba, you would literally decline to walk in their shoes. Honeyyy they don’t fit me.

Better yet, when you become an adult we hear the term “Goals”, whether it’s “body goals, relationship goals, marriage goals, wedding goals or friendship goals.” Honey, you don’t know what it took to get to “goals”. One thing during the process of wedding planning, the Lord revealed something to me, especially towards the end and that was to “do you boo”. Many said, are you doing the something borrowed? Not really knowing why this is a tradition or no one really explained to me why I should “something borrowed” in my wedding. After some research, this had been some British tradition to take something borrowed from another marriage that you admire. EXCUSE ME!!! I’m good love enjoy. You don’t know what’s going on in their household to want to mirror their marriage or better yet want something from them to idol their marriage. Instantly, God said witchcraft. Take that borrowed thing and watch your marriage be just like theirs, but you can’t handle their marriage. You should never want someone else’s shoes, goals or marriage. It’s time to ride your own wave and be your own goals.

God made you to fit a specific shoe that no one else could fathom walk or handle. One thing I can appreciate is that when I put my shoes on, through this journey they will get worn out but God will bless with a new pair for another journey. Your Journey  and walk through life will be different from mine and your testimony will never be my exact testimony. He is so strategic that no one can walk the shoes that He has purposely designed for you.

That goes for anointing as well. Do you really want their anointing or do you just want the fame behind it? Do you really think you want David’s anointing? Do you really want to try on the shoes of Jeremiah? Or better yet, how about the shoes of Jesus? No! No! and No! God purposed them from their mother’s womb, just like He has purposed you for a specific journey. Jesus shoes were for Him and Him only, I appreciate God so much because I could never walk those shoes or even attempt to. Think about it, let someone lie on you or to you, hit you, call you a liar or better yet call you a devil, how would you respond? Instant pop off!

Never want someone else’s path, journey or shoes, you do not know what it took to get here. Never want someone else’s anointing, HONEY TAKE IT FROM ME you don’t want these problems. “To whom much is given, from him much is required” is one of the many scriptures that will always resonate. You want oil, it comes with a price. You want the anointing it comes with a pressing. Be wise in what you ask for and be mindful of the sacrifices that will take place. These shoes I wear are for walking my Journey with God. You will see my testimony of my Journey, based on how worn out my shoes are while walking this life with God.

“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not to thine own understanding, in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight” Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust in the shoes God gave you!

Love and Purpose to you
